Some people wait until the last minute to do holiday shopping. It’s okay because sometimes you get really great sale pricing that way. Or it isn’t okay because of the anxiety from furiously shopping for last minute gifts. Mother’s Day is a holiday that can easily be done last minute but with great gifts no matter when they’re purchased or made. Let’s get started!

The first idea comes from Blue Apron. It is an online service that delivers proportioned ingredients along with directions ready for any meal. There are tons of options and pricing levels. It takes the guess work out of cooking and makes meals way easier to make. Mom doesn’t really have to think about it. The ingredients are there, ready to make, and the meals are gourmet and healthy. Yum!

Give mom the gift of flexible (literally) fitness. I subscribed to an downloadable yoga service last year and it’s great. You can go online whenever it’s convenient and do a quick or a long class. You also miss the judgement if you can’t do a perfect pose and all those skinny Minnie’s in their way-too-tight pants. It is a total win-win. I got a groupon for Yoga Download and sometimes I do the relaxing 15 minute class before bed. It is a great gift for mom.

The last one is a little DIY (of course). Make dessert for Mom in no time. Chocolate covered strawberries are a great present. Strawberries are in season and readily available in supermarkets or farmers markets. Heat chocolate chips and dip the strawberry in the chocolate. Set on parchment or wax paper and allow to harden. It is a gift for mom that is delicious and under $5. You could add a twist by sprinkling on a few chopped nuts or coconut. Get creative and Happy Mother’s Day!
